Vintage Radio Repair
AM/FM tube radios from the 1930s through 1970s. Alignment, capacitor replacement, dial lamp restoration, and full recapping.
HiFi, PA, and Musical Instrument Amplifiers
Integrated amps, power amps, and preamplifiers. Bias adjustment, tube testing, transformer inspection, and full restoration.
Other Vacuum Tube Equipment
Call if you have other vacuum tube based or other pre-1970s electrical devices. For example: Lionel Train vacuum tube switching devices are restored.

The repair is completed and the unit is thoroughly tested to confirm correct performance before return shipping.
Pay & Return
Pay the invoice online via ACH, PayPal, or Zelle. The unit is carefully packed and shipped back.
Common Questions
How long does a typical repair take?
Most repairs are completed within 2–4 weeks depending on parts availability and the current queue. An estimated turnaround is provided when the unit is reviewed.
Is there a warranty on repairs?
Yes — all repair work is warranted for 90 days. If the same issue recurs within that period, it will be addressed at no additional charge.
What if the repair isn't worth the cost?
If the estimate exceeds the unit's value or your budget, you'll be told honestly. Only the bench diagnosis fee applies, and the unit will be returned.
Do you work on transistor or solid-state equipment?
The shop specializes exclusively in tube-based equipment — vintage tube radios and tube amplifiers. Solid-state equipment (with the exception of car radio) conversions, is not.
How should I pack my radio for shipping?
Contact the shop before shipping for packing guidance. Vintage radios are fragile and require double-boxing with adequate foam or bubble wrap to arrive safely.
Do you restore cabinets or make other cosmetic improvements?
While the primary focus of Tubular Dave's are the electronic components, some cosmetic restoration is available on a case by case basis.
